Welcome to the paper and program information site for the South Central Region of the Consortium for Computing Sciences in Colleges(CCSC). The South Central Region of the CCSC held its first conference in 1989 at St. Edward's University in Austin, Texas. The Twenty-ninth Annual Conference hosted by Texax Christian University will be held on April 6, 2018 in Fort Worth, Texas. The 2018 conference chair is Dr. Michael Scherger from Texas Christian University.
Faculty are encouraged to submit a professional paper, panel, tutorial, workshop, lightning talk (NEW FOR 2018) or faculty poster. We encourage all faculty to sign up each fall for reviewing of professional papers. The review process is a double-blind review and the acceptance rate for papers is approximately 50-60%. Questions or concerns about submissions should be sent to Laura Baker, firstname.lastname@example.org, South Central Papers Chair.
The mission of the Consortium is to promote quality computer-oriented curricula as well as effective use of computing in smaller institutions of higher learning which are typically non-research in orientation. The Consortium supports activities which assist faculty in making appropriate judgments concerning computing resources and educational applications of computer technology. The Consortium also encourages the sharing of expertise, effective curricula and efficient technological applications among faculty at small colleges and universities.
