South Central Conference Posters

South Central 2021 Posters will be recorded presentations

Due to concerns over COVID-19 the conference will have online presentations of student posters

Students and Faculty at colleges and universities are encouraged to record and submit a 3 minute poster presentation for the conference poster session. All poster abstracts AND recordings must be submitted to the South Central Poster Chair, Michael Scherger.

Instructions for Student Poster Submissions:

Send a plain text email message to: Dr. Michael Scherger, m.scherger@tcu.edu with the following information:

  • To: m.scherger@tcu.edu
  • Subject: CCSC:SC Student Poster Submission
    1. NAME(s): List the name (or names) of all student presenters. List name as "first_name middle_initial last_name". Separate all names with a comma. The first name listed should be the primary contact for the project. All presenters must be undergraduate students.
    2. CONTACT INFORMATION: Give the name, e-mail, and phone number where the primary student contact may be reached.
    3. TITLE OF PROJECT: Give the title of your project.
    4. SCHOOL AFFILIATION: Name the school that you attend.
    5. FACULTY ADVISOR: Give the name and contact information for the faculty member that advised you on your project and who has agreed to recommend that your poster be submitted to the South Central regional conference of the CCSC. Please note: A faculty member may recommend no more than six poster submissions per year.
    6. PROJECT ABSTRACT: This should be a brief paragraph summary of your project including the problem, solution, and results.
    7. PRESENTATION RECORDING: A 3 MINUTE recording of your poster presentation. This recording will be used for judging in the student poster competition. The recording should be a Zoom recording, attached to your email entry. Recording limit time is 3 MINUTES.
  • All students and faculty submitting a poster recording must register for the conference by March 31, 2021. Student registration is $20, faculty registration is $50.
  • Recorded student posters presentations are automatically eligible for the student poster competition.
  • Student Poster competition winners will be annouced after the Student Poster presentation session at the conference.
  • Student Poster presentations are limited to 20 entries total. First come first serve.

Instructions for Faculty Poster Submissions

The Steering Committee is pleased to accept recorded poster presentations from faculty to encourage wider participation in the conference. To submit a faculty poster presentation please follow these steps:

  • A 3 minute recording of your poster presentation (using Zoom).

Faculty presenting posters must also register on-line for the conference by March 31, 2021 to be included in the poster presentations. Pre-recorded faculty posters will be presented on Friday, April 9, 2021. All faculty poster recordings must be submitted by March 31, 2021
