The CCSC-NW Conference is designed to promote quality computer-oriented curricula as well as effective use of computing in smaller institutions of higher learning which are typically non-research in orientation.

Our program this year features four tutorials and 12 refereed paper presentations. We are particularly fortunate to have Dr. Maria Klawe, President of Harvey Mudd College, as our Keynote Speaker. She will speak on "Increasing the Participation of Females in Computing Careers".

The Friday evening banquet will take place nearby at LIGO, the Laser Interferometric Gravitational Observatory, and will include a guided tour.

The campus is located in Richland, Washington on the banks of the Columbia River in the heart of Washington's Wine Country. The community is also home to Battelle Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL).

Because personnel at small colleges often have restricted travel budgets, the scheduling of the conference is done with consideration toward minimizing costs.

We thank our CCSC national partners: the National Science Foundation, Panasonic Solutions Company, Turing's Craft, and Wiley, as well as local sponsor LIGO.

We also thank the Upsilon Pi Epsilon Honor Society for their sponsorship of the Student Poster Contest.
