The Southwestern Regional 2012 Conference Committee, in cooperation with the ACM SIGCSE, welcomes everyone with an interest in Computer Science education to join us this spring on March 23-24, 2012, for two days at University of the Pacific in the heart of California.

CCSC:SW brings together faculty, staff and students from academic institutions throughout the Southwestern United States for the exchange of ideas and information concerning computing education. Please join us for two days of focused presentations, with ample opportunities for building local connections with your peers throughout the southwest. The traditional focus of the CCSC conferences has been on undergraduate CS education. With the increasing importance of developing connections between college and high school curriculum, this year's program adds several topics of interest to high school educators.

CCSC:SW invites participation in CCSC:SW 2012 by presenting a scholarly paper, organizing a dicussion panel or delivering a tutorial. Students can also participate in the student poster presentation.

Scholarly Papers

We invite experience reports, research studies, philosophical papers, and tool papers on topics that are consistent with the themes of the conference. Accepted papers will be presented at the conference as well as published in The Journal of Computing Sciences in Colleges. Papers should be no longer than 6 pages and will be double blind peer reviewed.

Student Poster Session

Students are encouraged to submit abstracts on topics related to computing sciences for the poster session which will be held at the conference.
