The 9th CCSC Southwest Region Conference

March 25-26, 2016

What is exactly is a Lightning Talk? Lightning Talks are short, 2 to 3 minute presentations intended to spark discussion among conference participants.

Potential benefits of giving a Lightning Talk include:

  • sharing a teaching strategy,
  • presenting preliminary results from a project,
  • getting feedback on a new idea for an empirical CS ed project,
  • getting a critique of a research design or data-gathering strategy,
  • showcasing a tool or technique that hasn't been fully tested,
  • finding collaborators at other institutions, and
  • inspiring good conversations about CS education

Interested presenters should submit a title and one paragraph description of their topic to Belle Wei at belle.wei@sjsu.edu no later than Wednesday, Feb 3, 2016 for consideration.

If you have any questions regarding the paper submission and reviewing, please contact our Lightning Talks chair: Belle Wei at belle.wei@sjsu.edu.
